Service Agreement

Equipment owner, hereafter referred to as "Customer", hereby requests repair from Conners Chainsaw Repair Service, hereafter referred to as "Technician". Customer requests and authorizes Technician to perform repairs and or diagnostics to the equipment. Although Technician agrees to perform services in a professional and workman like manner, Customer agrees that Technician is not liable or responsible for unknown problems or issues arising from internal inspection following commencement of authorized repairs. Customer agrees and understands that the equipment may require maintenance or service beyond the scope of this particular agreement. Customer is hereby notified that  requested repairs are an attempt to reasonably restore usable functionality, safety, and operation of the equipment via a SINGULAR REPAIR. No repairs are performed in the field due to uncertain variables.

The Customer releases Conners Chainsaw Repair Service, including Technician or his designee from any and all responsibility for success or failure due to any component failure or part manufacture defects. Customer understands that Technician will put forth "best-effort", to fulfill and complete this service or repair request. Customer is advised that, especially in the case of intermittent,  spurious, or random failures, it is not always possible to effectively diagnose and repair all such problems. It is recommended that Customer research additional resources for known equipment manufacturers' defects or problems. Further, the Customer is advised to perform routine preventative maintenance, as described in the equipment's owners' manual. Subsequent repairs required resulting from owner’s lack of prescribed routine preventative maintenance may void this agreement, and may offset from original quote.

Unless modified in writing by both parties, this agreement and authorization remains in effect and ensures to subsequent requests for maintenance or Technician requests/demands for payment. Initial quotes, if any requested, are subject to written revision due to the uncertainty of repair conditions, (i.e. corroded parts, and fasteners that may break and require more time for extraction, Additional fabrication of mounting hardware at times may require modification or replacement. These are just a few examples of the potentials of changing variables involved in repairs. ) Customer will be informed of any problems found during diagnosis, service, or repairs under this agreement, including any additional newly detected issues, if any.

Customer’s action of leaving equipment in the custody of the Technician has hereby authorized Technician to make diagnostics and or repairs. Time is of the essence: Customer understands that payment-in-full is required upon presentation of repair completion  notice & request for payment covering the specific repairs described in this agreement. It is recognized that, following initial  diagnostics and repair estimate, actual repairs may reveal other unforeseen problems not evident in original quote. Additional supplemental damage charges, other issues, and/or separate problems not detected prior to repair commencement will be presented in the invoice. Customer’s verbal and or written agreement also activates this agreement and authorizes Technician to  proceed with the diagnosis and repairs.

Customer hereby authorizes Technician to operate the equipment for the purposes of testing and/or inspection. Unless other  arrangements are made, supply of small engine parts are typically obtained by discount by Technician to extend savings for the Customer, with the exception of  special orders or no longer manufactured parts. Each process of a repair or parts needed will be  noted on Customer’s invoice. Failure of customer to make deposit for required parts upon notice will delay repair completion. A $35.00 Diagnostic & Inspection Fee is applied to each separate equipment item unless waived for certain circumstances.

Customer will be informed of any issues or problems discovered or detected before, during, or after the initial repair. If time allows a photo or    documentation of additionally detected issues will be presented to you or explained to you. Technician will not be held  responsible for loss or  damage to equipment, or articles left on or about equipment in case of fire, theft, accident, or any other cause beyond its control.
